Finalmente, se inauguró en 1929 gracias al empeño de la dictadura de Primo de Rivera que nombró comisario de la exposición al cordobés José Cruz Conde. Esta exposición coincidió con la de Barcelona.</p> <p> Si bien comenzó con una inversión de 40 millones, el costo final superó los 80 millones de pesetas, una cifra astronómica para la época. La entrada costaba 2<br /> pesetas, había abonos de 25 pesetas y pases permanentes por 200 pesetas. Los coches pagaban 3 pesetas.
